Conrad Gaveston is an elderly gentleman, probably at his late fifties. His hair and vandyke are pure grey and well taken care of. His face has some wrinkles, which have come with the age, however his eyes are still sharp cold blue. Standing about 1.8 meters in height and being in relatively good shape, he strikes as determined man. One can usually see Conrad dressed in fine clothing, and it is not hard to tell from his speech and actions that he is from upper class, which he truly represents.
The History of Conrad Gaveston.
Conrad Gaveston is the head of the family. He acted as a wandering merchant while he was young, travelling from town to town. During these travels he met his future wife, who was singer and actress at the town of Britain. They were married shortly after and had a son, Videric. The marriage itself was not however blessed with happiness, and after five years the union broke and Conrad's wife left him. Seeing the marriage as dead, Conrad did not bother to seek her out, and let her vanish to mists of history.
He continued to travel around Britannia while his business and wealth grew. After reaching forty years in age, he settled at Minoc as a wealthy man, hoping his son would carry the travelling business for him. However it was to be different; after few years of doing his father's bidding, Videric ran away with a couple of his friends to adventure around the world.
Conrad lost contact with his son for many years, and at times considered himself childless in his fury. Despite this loss, he ran his business from his manor at Minoc, with his loyal butler Wanesworth always at his side. It was business as usual.
When Minax arrived, Conrad moved with most of the population to Trammel side, to follow Lord British. While there, Videric approached him again. This meeting was rather cold, and business like as dislike was both sided. However after long talks Conrad agreed to loan his son gold for construction of a tower at Cove.
Years passed and Conrad became unhappy of how business was run at Cove. There was also no sign of Videric actually bothering to pay back his loan with interest, but even if Videric was saving to pay his father back, the waiting time had been too long. Conrad decided not to wait any longer, and decided to took advantage of the loan contract he had. With the contract Conrad was able to legally claim the Cove Tradeport to himself, as the contract clearly stated the tower as apart of the family business. Because his past efforts for Britannia, he was rewarded the title of Duke to recognise his authority. As the leader of the Tradeport of Cove, he plans to add a new landmark to his career.
