The Ninth Caravan

"And so went forth the Caravan from Deepwater to Tosgon..."

Videric was once again on road towards a trade destination with several trusted companions. He was very pleased that the bard Penny Seabreeze had joined them, as she had promised to perform the song she had made about the caravan. This time the caravan was a bit few in number, but a word from Pad O'Lion was that Custodes Fati would meet the caravan at the Militia outpost near town of Yew.

People gathering at Deepwater

The journey towards Yew went without much worry, although few orcs were spotted. However even with less guards these few orcs were chased away without trouble. And soon the meeting place with the Custodes Fati was reached.

With the escort of Custed Fati the caravan continued forward. There had been several interference by the road by a stranger person(s?) crawling in the woods, which made all more alert. It was considered likely that orcs were at move again.

Orcs!
Near an abandoned guard post the orcs attacked! With brutality and cunning nature these spawns of Mondain attacked the caravan probably in hope of tribute. Instantly the volunteers and the cavalry of Custodes Fati charged into battle. While the battle lasted Videric asked of people who were with him to follow him into the woods. It was Videric's intention to guide the caravan away from the battle in case orcs would get help from the other tribes. And as the smaller group left the dust of battle behind, the brave solders continued to fight the vile orcish horde.

The forest road to Tosgon was no means easy, but finally the village was reached, and the caravan was once again warmly welcomed.

Videric sold the armour he was carrying to the Yomak's and once again a traditional welcome feast was ready to began. The solders who fought the orcs also returned for the feast, and luckily everyone was still alive. And finally everyone heard Lady Penny's most beautiful song about the caravan (read it Here). The rest of the evening went having merry time, listening more songs, talking about sheep (aye, indeed), eating and drinking...
